Well, ladies, this "early Christmas" decorating started for me during law school when I was spending more than half the holiday season studying for and taking finals. In those years, if I didn't put the stuff up early, it didn't get put up at all. But, now, I just want to do it. So, I did.
So......you and you super understanding and loving husband put up the tree last night, that's cool! I don't think its too early at all. My only question is when is too early to start listening to holiday music 24/7???
Trouble, there is a Christian radio station that started playing all Christmas music the day after Halloween! If it was just religious music, I could understand, but no, it's full-out Christmas music (Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, etc.).
who are you? it's not after thanksgiving whether you don't like thanksgiving or not. do you not enjoy delicious food? obnoxious family? football (gross)? understanding husband or not, you just like being rule breaker.
Feel the jealousy emanating from North Carolina up to you in Virginia, Sparklebot. My wife-bot has an attitude about Christmas celebration similar to Jess, above: I have to wait until after Thanksgiving.
To her credit, though, we were so busy last year that we never put up a Christmas tree, despite her repeatedly asking me mid-December.

That's funny. Do you just skip right over Thanksgiving?
That's right, Jana. Thanksgiving is a stupid waste of time.
I can't believe you put your tree up. You can't just skip holidays like that!
I only say that because I am jealous that I don't have my Christmas stuff up yet.

I love it! Thanksgiving can be where you are thankful for Christmas trees.
